Imagine moving into a home where the doorways are too narrow for your wheelchair, the bathroom isn’t safe to use, or there’s no comfortable space to gather with friends. For individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), these challenges create barriers to independence and belonging. You can change that.

For over 55 years, Pleasant View has been creating welcoming homes where individuals with IDD can live, work, and thrive. This year, we need your help to raise $25,000 to continue making accessibility improvements across our properties. Your support will provide safe, comfortable, and fully inclusive spaces where everyone can belong.

Right now, individuals with IDD in our community face limited housing options due to accessibility challenges. Many homes weren’t built with their needs in mind—making everyday life harder than it should be. With your help, we can change that.

Your generosity during the Great Community Give will help us: 

• Continue Renovating Our Properties, turning our older homes into warm and inviting spaces.
• Expand accessibility in existing homes, including ramps, widened doorways, and safer common areas.
• Create a community where everyone belongs, by ensuring our homes meet the diverse needs of those we serve.

Accessibility challenges aren’t always obvious until someone moves in—but when they arise, they can make or break a person’s ability to live comfortably and independently. That’s why we need flexible funding to respond quickly and ensure every home is truly a home.

If we raise over $20,000, a portion of the funds will go toward Community Activities & Enrichment Opportunities for social outings, skill-building, and community participation.
